What if I forget my password? How do I change my password?

If you forget your password, click on the FORGOT PASSWORD button on the Login page, enter your email address, and your access credentials will be emailed to you. To reset your password, use the USER MANAGEMENT section once you have logged in to the portal.

What can you tell me about OIGCN security?

Website Security

The www.sanctionscreeningnow.com website uses a 2048-bit SSL certificate using RSA encryption issued by a Certificate Authority. The defining function of an SSL Certificate is to establish trust between a website and the end user. The SSL Certificate will ensure a private connection between the user, the website and OIG Compliance NOW’s internal network. The website is maintained and backed up daily.

Internal Security

OIG Compliance NOW’s internal servers are secured using industry standard measures including: firewalls, encryption algorithms and limited employee access. All servers and databases are updated with the newest security patches and updates as they become available to reduce the possibility of a data breach. Servers, including database, file servers and email server, are encrypted where necessary and appropriate.

Physical Security

OIG Compliance NOW’s internal servers are protected by multiple levels of physical security. Access to the company’s servers is limited to high-level employees with the correct credentials. Motion detectors, water-bugs and video surveillance are maintained and monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All data is backed up daily and is maintained both internally and externally to provide against system failure and disaster recovery.

What if we do not want to submit Social Security Numbers for employees?

If you elect not to submit SSN information in your files, it will create an extra step in the investigation process since we will not have any identifying information to use to clear name association hits. We are confident in our robust security procedures and encourage you to submit SSN information with your uploaded files.

How does reporting work? Will the IU have access to School District reports? Will IUs and School Districts have access to vendor reports? What about notification regarding exclusions?

Reports are stored in an online portal separately for EACH client, meaning that report details are confidential for IUs and School Districts. Inside the client portal, there will be summary reports for both employee screening and vendor entity name screening. For IU/SD Vendors that are screening their employees, those vendors will be able to retrieve summary reports for their employee screenings in their separate portals. IUs and School Districts will be notified about vendor compliance, meaning, which vendors have registered with OIGCN and are conducting employee screening; however, IUs and School Districts will NOT have access to individual vendor screening reports. IUs and SDs will be notified of any potential exclusions for either vendor entities or vendor employees, and then it will be up to the IU/SD to contact the vendor directly to learn the details of the exclusion and if reporting/restitution is required.
